A buyer's agent is a real estate agent who represents the buyer's interests in a purchase, finding houses, negotiating price and terms, and managing the closing process. The agent owes the buyer a fiduciary duty, meaning the buyer's interests come first, even in a negotiation with the seller. The buyer's agent is typically paid a commission that comes out of the sale.
