Recordation tax
A realty transfer tax of 37 cents per $100 of the sale price (or the property's value, if greater), collected as part of the county's recordation tax. Seller disclosure
Required. A seller of a one-to-four-unit residential property must give the buyer a signed property disclosure statement, or a disclaimer statement if the buyer agrees to waive it.Source: Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 66-5-201 to 213
Tax sale redemption
After a court confirms a delinquent tax sale, the former owner (or any other interested party) has one year from that order to redeem the property: paying the delinquent taxes, penalty, interest, court costs and 12% annual interest on the purchase price.
